Your Trusted Guide to Aadhaar Services
PVC Aadhaar Card – Order Aadhaar PVC Card
The PVC Aadhaar Card, introduced by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), is a modern, durable, and portable version of your Aadhaar. Made of high-quality plastic (polyvinyl chloride), this card fits neatly into your wallet and includes enhanced security features — making it a convenient alternative to the paper Aadhaar letter or digital formats.
Like your regular Aadhaar, it contains your 12-digit Aadhaar number and is linked to your biometric and demographic data. It is equally valid across all government and private services, just like the e-Aadhaar, mAadhaar, and Aadhaar letter.

Who Can Apply for a PVC Aadhaar Card?
Any Indian resident who has a valid Aadhaar number can request the PVC version. Here’s what you need to know:
- A registered mobile number is recommended for OTP-based verification, but it’s not mandatory — you can use an alternate number if needed.
- You can order the PVC card for yourself or a family member, provided their Aadhaar details are up to date.
- There are no age or location restrictions — as long as you have a valid Aadhaar, Enrolment ID (EID), or Virtual ID (VID), you’re eligible.
Documents Required
You don’t need to submit any separate documents. The PVC Aadhaar card is issued using the data already linked to your Aadhaar profile. You’ll only need to provide one of the following:
- 12-digit Aadhaar Number
- 16-digit Virtual ID (VID)
- 28-digit Enrolment ID (EID)
Note: If your Aadhaar info (like your name, photo, or address) needs updating, make those changes through a Permanent Enrollment Center or via the Self-Service Update Portal (SSUP) before placing your order. The PVC card will display whatever information is currently on file.
